COSMED peels
a new era in chemoexfoliation
The COSMED peels offer a new era in chemoexfoliation. Chemical peels are one of the oldest cosmetic treatments performed, dating back to ancient Egyptian times when natural acids derived from fruit and milk were applied to the skin. As knowledge and science have advanced, chemical peels are much more sophisticated and specific to a variety of skin issues.
Derma Peel
Lactic acid is an anti-wrinkle and pigmentation-fighting ingredient that is suitable for all skin types. It strengthens the barrier function and is known as a ‘film former’ therefore leaves more moisture behind than it takes. The 3 acids work in synergy to suppress the production of melanin and target pigmentation or uneven skin tone.
INDICATIONS: Superficial peel for fine lines, dull or dry skin, hyperpigmentation, sensitive skin, uneven tone and poor texture
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Lactic Acid (40%), Phytic Acid (10%), Kojic Acid (10%, Glutathione)
Regen Peel
Pyruvic acid is an α-keto-acid with a low PKA and small molecular size that penetrates quickly. Pyruvic acid hydrolyses into lactic acid as it penetrates to the deeper layers reducing the downtime and excessive peeling.
INDICATIONS: At epidermal level, it is very effective in the treatment of acne and oily skin as it helps regulate the secretion of sebum and has keratolytic and antimicrobial properties.
At dermal level, stimulates the production of new collagen and elastin fibres and glycoproteins, which leads to the reduction of wrinkles, photo-aging, hyperpigmentation, moderate scars
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Pyruvic Acid (50%), Lactic Acid (10%), Salicylic Acid (2%), Retinaldehyde (0.6%)
Restore Peel
Mandelic acid has unique antibiotic properties and maintains skin’s acid mantle which inhibits the growth of P.Acne bacteria, regulates oil production, increases cell turnover and influences new skin and refine skin texture. It has a large molecular size and is safe for all skin types.
This peel is useful in suppressing pigmentation, treating inflammatory and non-cystic acne and rejuvenating photoaged skin.
Salicylic has powerful anti-inflammatory properties and acts as a carrier to deliver the super active Retinaldehyde to the deeper layers.
INDICATIONS: Superficial peel safe for darker skin, rosacea, erythema, uneven skin tone, texture, actinic keratosis, oily skin, acne
