Dermaplaning

an alternative to chemical peels or microdermabrasion

Dermaplaning is a manual exfoliating treatment that provides an alternative to chemical peels or microdermabrasion and is a good choice for anyone who has fine facial hair (peach fuzz), extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea, or visible facial veins.

The treatment helps to speed up the skin cycle by removing old dead skin cells from the surface of the skin. A noticeable improvement is immediate with smoother texture and fresh appearance.

Will My Facial Hair Grow Back Thicker?

The hair that is removed is Vellus hair which is different to the thicker darker terminal hair we have on our bodies. Vellus hair does not grow back darker or thicker. Any terminal hairs you may have on your face will grow back as they are.

What Happens During The Treatment?

Your face will be cleansed and any makeup will be removed. A blade is used to gently exfoliate the outer layer of dead skin cells and remove fine facial hair. An oxygenating face mask will be applied to your skin and left to bubble off.

Selected creams including an SPF will be applied. Time will be taken to discuss aftercare and recommended skincare.

Will It Hurt?

All my patients find this treatment very relaxing and not painful at all. Due to the anatomy, the nose and eyes are not treated.

How Often Should I Have This Treatment?

This treatment is recommended every 6 weeks.

BOOK A CONSULTATION

During a consultation we can chat about the different results I have helped my patients achieve. What concerns you have, how they make you feel and how you would like to feel about what you see in the mirror.

We can perform an in depth analysis of your face using the fabulous Observ520 machine. This machine will analyse your face under different lights, we can see what’s really going on under the surface.

We can chat about all the treatments and products that I’d recommend. Together we can create a bespoke treatment plan and skincare regime to suit you.
