a bolder look
This treatment is a form of Tattoo artistry known as semi-permanent makeup or brow embroidering.
Microblading is a form of tattooing using a specially designed hand tool called a microblade.
The handheld microblading tool is used to micro implant pigment under the skin. Individual hair strokes will be placed in the brows and within the mapped shape to mimic natural hairs.
My microblading treatment gives a very natural result, but if you want a bolder look, I can refer you to an amazing Permanent Make-up Artist at ES Derma Aesthetic (www.esdermaaesthetic.co.uk). Lisa has treated some of my lovely patients who wanting a bolder look or other areas treated such as lip blush and eyeliner.
What Happens During The Treatment?
I will clean the area and begin by carefully mapping out the shape of your eyebrows using a special Phi compass to create a bespoke design to suit you. Until we are both completely happy with the shape I will not start using the pigment.
Next I will use the hand held tool to carefully implant the pigment just under the skin. I will create individual hair strokes.
After the 1st brow is complete, numbing cream and ink will be painted over the brow and left until I complete the 2nd brow.
I will then go back to the 1st brow and make a 2nd pass on each individual hair stroke. Once both brows are complete a final mask of ink will be painted to ensure the ink holds.
The area will be cleaned and time will be taken to go through aftercare.
How Long Do They Last?
Some patients that followed their aftercare advice to the letter have results that still look amazing 3 years on.
However, everyone is different and different skin types can have an effect on the longevity of the results.
You can have colour boost treatment if you feel like you need a freshen-up.
This will be discussed in your consultation.
Does It Hurt?
I’ve got to be honest this isn’t the most comfortable of treatments, but I will use numbing cream to reduce as much discomfort as possible and we can have as many breaks as you need.
