Skin Tightening
PlasmaPro skin tightening uses a process called ‘sublimation’. It’s performed by a tiny plasma flash emitted tens or hundreds of times depending upon the size of the treatment area. This causes the skin to shrink back and tighten. Immediately after, and for a number of weeks following the treatment, the skin is flooded with plasma and collagen, as the body seeks to repair and rejuvenate from within.
What Happens During The Treatment?
Numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area. Once the area is suitably numb the skin will be cleaned. I will hold the PlasmaPRO Precision Pen close to the chosen area to be treated. Once the probe is a few millimetres from the skin, a tiny plasma flash is emitted, causing the skin to shrink back.
A cool pack may be used before a healing balm is coated on the treated area. Time will be taken to talk through the aftercare and you will be given some protective balm to take home.
How Soon Will I See Results?
The results are visible immediately. The final result will take around twelve weeks to see. The skin will undergo many changes during the healing process; therefore, please be patient and wait until the three-month mark for a true result.
Will It Hurt?
I have been well trained to ensure your maximum comfort during a treatment, and will apply a numbing cream to the treatment area. Most patients experience little to no pain whatsoever.
How Much Downtime Will I Need?
As this treatment involves causing controlled micro-trauma to the skin, you should expect some swelling, redness and tenderness for between 3-5 days following the treatment. The small treatment ‘dots’ will scab and fall off after around 5-7 days, and we advise you to avoid wearing make-up on the treated area during this time (other than the tinted healing balm I will give you).
How Long Will The Treatment Last?
The actual session can take as little as half an hour, depending on the size of the areas to be treated. Those looking for a more dramatic result may require more than one session; however you will be advised on this at your consultation.
Once healed, the result can last for anywhere between two and five years. Those who follow the aftercare procedure properly – i.e. don’t get the area wet for at least five days, don’t pick the microdots, wearing a facial sunblock (etc.) will obtain longer-lasting results than those who don’t. Aftercare really is the key to success in plasma skin-tightening. With this in mind time is taken to go through all the aftercare instructions.
PlasmaPro Skin Lesion Removal
This treatment works in the same way as it does for skin tightening.
Some skin lesions that I commonly remove are skin tags (soft skin-coloured growths on your skin) and Sebaceous hyperplasia this is a skin condition that becomes more common with age. It’s caused when your sebaceous oil glands produce too much oil, which can be trapped under your skin and cause bumps.
A doctor’s note may be required before we can commence with treatment.

The down time for lesion removal isn’t as long as it is with the skin tightening treatment. Usually the small dots left after the lesion is removed will flake off in a few days.
